Kaua‘i High School - Winners of the State Conservation Awareness Contest 2006
Participating members Dayna Wheatley, Jamie Beck, Jazmine Vicente and Dannica Jimenez accept the trophy from EKSWCD Chair Ted Inouye.
The Districts sponsor this annual contest for Kaua‘i high school students, in conjunction with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, UH Cooperative Extension Service and the State Department of Education. By participating in the contest, students learn the importance of natural resources conservation in agricultural production. The county's winning team competes in the state competition, and the top team from the state competition represents Hawai‘i at the national contest.
