Mauna Kea Soil & Water Conservation District

The Mauna Kea SWCD was established in 1955 to support local land users through technical assistance. We encompass 730,460 acres, from Mauna Loa to Mauna Kea and up to the northernmost tip of Hawai‘i Island, and promote sustainable land use through watershed and conservation planning, habitat preservation, runoff control and public outreach.
